Delivery and Pickup Tips

When you rent a 12 yard dumpster, keep in mind that you'll need to provide placement instructions for the driver. No one needs to be onsite when the container is dropped off or picked up, but remember the following guidelines:

Select a Location:

Clear a spot where you'd like your dumpster placed without low-hanging wires or tree branches. You'll typically need a permit from the city to place the bin in a public space like the street.

Remove Obstacles:

The truck requires about 60 feet of space to approach and about 23-25 feet of vertical clearance to raise and place the dumpster.

Avoid Overloading Your Bin:

Remember that we won't be able to safely haul the container away if there is debris sticking out of the sides, resulting in a trip fee.

Schedule Removal:

Call or schedule a pickup online on or before your last rental day specified in your agreement.

Remember to Ask About Permits

If you don't think the dumpster will fit in your driveway, you'll need a permit approved by the city to place the container in a public right-of-way like the street or sidewalk. We can take care of the permit application and include the cost in your bundled price in select cities. However, most cities require the homeowner or contractor to handle permits.

Not sure if you need a permit? Give us a call. Our team is ready to help with your debris removal needs.
