FAQs
Can I get a dumpster delivered to my home?
Yes, it's easy. Start by reaching out and picking a delivery date that works for you. Give us detailed placement instructions that help our drivers drop off the bin — which part of your driveway and where you want the swinging door to face — in case you can't be there when the dumpster arrives. Finally, make sure the area is clear of any obstructions like cars, basketball hoops and hanging branches.
How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?
We typically deliver dumpsters within five business days. However, we can work with your timeline if you need a different date. Just reach out before your project's start date to ensure you get a bin on time.
Are dumpster rentals expensive?
We have a variety of bins to fit just about any project and budget. With an average rental period of 7 to 10 days, a roll off dumpster in your driveway is a cost-effective way to toss junk all at once instead of hauling it back and forth to the landfill yourself or waiting for curbside pickup. We also bundle all the costs associated with your rental so there are no surprises on your final invoice.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster in my driveway?
No, you do not need a permit if the bin is placed on your property. A permit is usually required if you want to place the container in a street, alleyway or sidewalk. Visit NYC's website to apply for a Right-of-Way Permit.
Do you take the dumpster to a landfill?
Yes, much of the trash disposed of in New York City is taken to the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station, located at 91st Street MTS.
What is not allowed in my dumpster?
For environmental and health concerns, toxic, flammable and hazardous waste is never allowed in our dumpsters. Please refrain from tossing items in your bin that aren't a part of your project's debris to ensure you don't get charged with additional fees.
To learn more about prohibited items, give us a call at 646-461-1930.
How do I load my dumpster?
Walk heavy items, like sofas and dressers, through the swinging doors first. Then, fill in the gaps with medium-sized junk — boxes, nightstands, stools — and toss light-weight debris over the sides, like bags of old clothes and accessories.
Should I rent a dumpster for my contractor?
It's a good idea to rent a dumpster for your contractor if they need a local reputable company to work with or end up with more debris to toss than originally planned. Talk to your contractor about the job and how they intend on disposing unwanted materials. Our bundled rates make it easy to add or subtract a price from the total project budget so you can best work it out with your contractor.
