FAQs
Is it hard to rent a dumpster?
No, renting a dumpster is simple when you choose to work with our team. Reach out and share the details of your project and what you're tossing so we can recommend the right size bin. Then, let us know where you would like the container placed — no need to be there when it arrives. Just load it at your own pace and reach out for pickup when you're ready.
How do I pick a spot for my dumpster?
We recommend selecting a spot that's flat, easily accessible and close to where you're working. A driveway is a great option as it's typically clear of overhead obstructions like tree branches and wires that can make placement more challenging. We'll go over more placement details when you set up an order.
How am I invoiced for my dumpster?
Your upfront price includes delivery, pickup, disposal, rental period and a covered weight limit in one rate — straight to your email. If you toss a prohibited item or exceed the weight limit, you'll receive a second invoice detailing those charges.
Do I need a dumpster permit from the city?
Yes, but only if you intend to place your dumpster in a public right-of-way, like the street or sidewalk. If you choose to place your container on private property you do not need a permit. Contact Battle Creek for more information on getting a Right-of-Way Permit.
Where does my dumpster's trash go?
The C&C Landfill, 14800 P Drive North in Marshall, is one of the many landfills in the Battle Creek area where we take your trash.
Can I put my regular trash in my dumpster?
No, we do not accept regular home and food trash in our dumpsters as it can attract pests. In addition, someone in your household may unknowingly toss a prohibited item, resulting in a landfill contamination fee.
What size dumpster should I rent?
The dumpster size you need depends on the type and amount of debris you toss. Our most-rented dumpster size is a 20 yard roll off container. This size is great for a wide range of projects and accepts most waste types. Plus, it has dimensions small enough to fit in an average driveway.
How can I avoid overage charges?
You should be able to avoid overage charges as long as you fill the dumpster, but do not leave anything hanging over the fill line or sticking through the top of the container. You can also avoid charges by making sure you're not tossing any prohibited items.
