How do I rent a dumpster?

Can I get a dumpster in my driveway within five days?
Yes, we do our best to get you a dumpster within five business days. The timeframe depends on our inventory when you schedule delivery. We recommend reaching out before your project's start date to ensure the bin is there when you need it.
What does my dumpster price include?
Your dumpster quote includes delivery, pickup, disposal, landfill fees, a rental period and generous weight tonnage. We bundle all the fees so you can budget effectively, leaving you no surprises.
Can my dumpster block the sidewalk?
You must get a permit if the container is placed on the street, sidewalk or alleyway. Reach out to the city of Des Moines for a ROW - Excavation or Obstruction Permit. If you're placing the dumpster on private property, you do not need a permit.
Do you take the dumpster to a landfill?
Yes, we mainly use the Metro Central Transfer Station, at 4198 Delaware Avenue, and the Metro Park East Landfill, located at 12181 NE University Avenue in Mitchellville, to dispose of your trash.
What happens if I toss a hazardous item in my dumpster?
You will be asked to remove the hazardous item before our driver can take the dumpster to the landfill. However, if our driver doesn't spot the item, the landfill will charge a fee when your trash gets sorted at the facility. You'll receive a separate invoice for the additional amount.
How do I load my dumpster?
Loading a dumpster is simple — just walk heavy items through the swinging door first, then fill in the spaces with boxes or other junk and toss small debris over the sides.
Will you automatically pick up my dumpster at the end of my service date?
We will not pick up the dumpster until you notify us you're finished. Keep in mind, if you reach out after your rental period end date that you'll be charged for the additional day(s).
