How soon can I get a dumpster delivered?
We typically can get you a dumpster within five business days. When you call to set up your rental, we'll let you know when our next available delivery date is. We recommend calling a few days before starting your project to ensure we have the container you need when you need it.
Why do dumpster prices vary?
Our dumpster prices are based on several factors which can cause them to fluctuate, including:
Location: Local fuel costs, area disposal fees and regional regulations around sorting and recycling can affect pricing.
Debris Type: Disposal costs also vary based on what material you're tossing and the landfills in your area.
Availability: Dumpster availability varies throughout the year due to demand, which may cause prices to change.
Rental Period: Rental periods are generally 7-10 days, but this can vary by location. If you need to hang on to your container longer, let us know and you’ll receive a low daily rate for each additional day.
Weight: Our bundled rates include a set weight limit for your rental so you won’t need to know exactly how heavy your trash is when you place your order.
Facility Fees: Disposal facilities can charge a variety of extra costs, from standard taxes to other fees assessed by the landfill.
Is any debris prohibited in New York City?
As you fill your dumpster, keep in mind that flammable, toxic and hazardous items are always prohibited. There may be additional restrictions in your area, but we'll go over any specific rules when you call.
Our range of dumpster types are ideal for a variety of debris types, including:
Learn more about prohibited items, or give our team a call at 646-461-1930 .
Where does dumpster trash go?
Much of the trash disposed of in New York City is taken to the Hamilton Avenue Marine Transfer Station, located at 91st Street MTS.
Do I need any permits to rent a dumpster?
A permit is usually required if you want to place the container in a public right-of-way, such as the street, alleyway or sidewalk. Visit NYC's official website to apply for a Right-of-Way permit.
What happens if I toss a prohibited item?
We may not be able to pick up the dumpster until the prohibited item is removed, which will result in a failed trip fee. If we do pick up the dumpster, the landfill may charge a contamination fee. In this case, you'll receive a separate invoice for the charge. We’ll be sure to review all of these details with you when you set up your order.
How do I load my dumpster?
When loading a dumpster, ensure all debris is placed inside the container. Do not leave anything hanging over the sides or sticking over the top of the dumpster. This could delay your waste pick-up because drivers cannot haul overloaded dumpsters.
