FAQs
What are the steps to rent a dumpster for junk removal?
Reach out by phone or order online and tell us about your project. This allows us to suggest a dumpster size and find a landfill to take your debris. Once delivery is scheduled, we'll provide a quote that bundles the costs associated with your rental. When the bin arrives, fill it with junk and contact us for pickup.
Will a dumpster fit in my driveway?
We offer a variety of dumpster sizes that will fit in most driveways. However, you can typically put the container on a street or sidewalk with a right-of-way permit from the city if the area is too narrow. Learn more about our dumpster sizes before you order.
When do I pay for my dumpster rental?
We'll invoice you for the dumpster when you order. This bundled quote includes the costs of delivery, pickup, facility fees, a weight limit and a rental period, which allows you to budget for the rest of your project. Just remember you'll only receive a second invoice if there are additional fees.
Should I place my dumpster in the street?
If you have a small or narrow driveway, you may want to place the dumpster in the street. You'll need to apply for a Right-of-Way Permitwith the city of Portland if you place the container on a public walkway. However, you don't need a permit for driveway placement.
Where do you take my dumpster's trash?
We take the majority of your trash to the Metro Central Transfer Station, located at 6161 Northwest 61st Avenue.
Can I toss yard waste during a cleanup?
Yes, yard waste is generally accepted in our dumpsters. However, some areas prohibit organic materials in landfills and there can be additional restrictions on stumps and branches. Learn more about accepted items when you reach out.
How long can you rent a dumpster?
Our agreements usually last 7 to 10 days. However, rental agreements can vary by location. Just share how long you'll need the dumpster and we'll work with you to figure out an appropriate timeline.
How do I know what my debris weighs?
To determine the right size bin for your project, we'll ask questions about what you're tossing to gauge the weight of the debris. You can also use our dumpster weight calculators to get an estimate.
