FAQs
How can I rent a dumpster for my project?
Start by reaching out to our team and telling us what you're tossing. From there, we'll recommend a container size and schedule a delivery date. Once the dumpster arrives, load the container and let us know when you're done so we can pick it up.
How do I pick a spot for my dumpster?
We recommend placing your dumpster in an easily accessible spot near your project site. It's best to choose a place that is clear of objects, like tree branches, overhead wires and basketball hoops to make for a smooth delivery.
What does my dumpster price include?
We bundle the costs of delivery, pickup, a rental period and a generous weight limit into one rate so you don't have to worry about your dumpster budget. Just keep in mind that tossing a prohibited item or keeping the dumpster longer than expected will result in additional fees. Don't worry — we'll go over this when you order.
Can my dumpster block the sidewalk?
Yes, but blocking a public right-of-way like the street or sidewalk, requires a permit from the city. Contact the city of Reno for more information on how to apply for a Dumpster and Storage Container Encroachment Permit. You will not need a permit if you place the bin on private property.
How do you get rid of my dumpster debris?
We take your debris to a variety of Reno-area landfills, including the Loyalton Transfer Station, located at 1 Garbage Pit Road in Loyalton.
Does the landfill charge me for prohibited items?
Yes, the landfill will charge a contamination fee if you toss a prohibited item. Flammable, toxic or otherwise hazardous materials require specific precautions to safely sort and dispose of the item.
What items are allowed in a dumpster?
We accept most household waste like furniture, appliances and yard waste. Just make sure you tell us what you're tossing when you order so we get the right container to you.
What happens if I toss a prohibited item?
If you toss a prohibited item, we may not be able to pick up the dumpster until it's removed, which will result in a failed trip fee. If we do pick up the container without knowing about the item, the landfill may find it during the sorting process and charge a contamination fee. You'll receive an additional invoice for the charge in these cases.
