Get ready for your dumpster delivery with our easy-to-follow guide to renting dumpsters.
How do I pick a spot for my dumpster?
We recommend selecting a location on solid ground where you have easy access to the container from your jobsite. Usually, a driveway is great for household projects as you don't need a permit for placement on private property. Whatever location you choose, just make sure the area is free of debris and objects like overhead wires and tree branches so that our drivers can drop off and pick up your container easily.
Keep in mind: if the area is blocked by cars, debris or other obstacles, our drivers will not be able to complete your drop off or pickup, resulting in a trip fee. Give us a call if you have questions about preparing for your dumpster rental.
How does dumpster rental pricing work?
Several factors impact your rental price — like fuel costs, debris type and inventory — which can cause prices to fluctuate. When you set up your order we'll share with you a bundled quote that covers the costs of delivery, a rental period, a covered tonnage and local landfill fees so you can budget confidently.
Do I need to get a permit?
Yes, a permit is required if the container is placed on the street, sidewalk or anywhere that is not private property. While we can't obtain a permit for you, just reach out to the city of Topeka for a Temporary Use of Street or Sidewalk Right-of-Way Permit.
Where do you take my trash?
There are a number of landfills and facilities throughout the area where your waste may end up. The Brooks Landfill at 4100 North West Street and the Wichita Transfer Station, located at 4300 37th Street North, are often used.
Are there any items I can’t toss in my dumpster?
You can toss a wide range of debris in our dumpsters. However, landfills restrict flammable, toxic or hazardous materials. Prohibited items vary by location and container type, and some items may have additional notes and restrictions due to environmental or safety concerns.
