FAQs
How will my driver know where to put the dumpster?
We'll ask for detailed placement instructions when you set up your order. This way, the dumpster is placed right where you want it. Just make sure the area is clear of objects, like branches, overhead wires and cars.
Do I need to get a permit from the city?
You will only need a permit if you place the bin in a public area, like a walkway or street. If you choose to put the dumpster in a right-of-way, reach out to Upper Darby to apply for a Dumpster/POD Permit. You don't need a permit to put the container on your property.
How am I billed for my dumpster rental?
We'll send you an invoice via email for the price of the rental when you're finished with your dumpster. It covers the costs of drop-off, pickup, local facility taxes and a covered weight limit. Remember that if you keep the dumpster longer than expected or toss a prohibited item, you may be charged a fee.
Can I toss batteries in my dumpster?
Car batteries, as well as lithium batteries, cannot go in a dumpster because they can leak harmful chemicals. Alkaline batteries, like AA, AAA, C and D batteries, can go in our containers.
Could I be charged a trip fee?
Keep your delivery area clear and accessible to our drivers for seamless service. You'll only be charged a trip fee to cover fuel costs and delays if the driver can't drop-off or pick up your container.
