FAQs
Is it easy to rent a dumpster?
Follow our five-step process to rent a dumpster:
- Contact us.
- Tell us about your project.
- Listen to our size recommendation and upfront quote.
- Pick a size.
- Fill the bin and let us know when you're ready for pickup.
Do I need to put plywood down on my delivery spot?
Plywood is not necessary, but does provide a number of benefits. It not only marks your exact delivery spot, but also help protect your driveway from scratches and scuffs. Additionally, if any part of your dumpster needs to be on your lawn or other soft ground, the plywood will keep the bin from sinking and potentially getting stuck.
Why do dumpster prices vary?
Our bundled prices combine a number of expenses into one rate. Some of these costs, such as fuel prices and landfill fees, aren't fixed, which is why prices vary over time.
Am I allowed to have a dumpster in my driveway?
Your driveway is actually the preferred delivery location. Not only does it make your cleanup easier since the bin is closer to your home, but it also saves you money by not having to get a permit.
However, if you decide street placement is right for you, reach out to the city of Tustin before delivery to get a Public Right of Way Encroachment and Construction Permit.
Where do you take my trash?
Tustin-area trash is often taken to the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill, located at 11002 Bee Canyon Access Road in Irvine, or the Olinda Alpha Landfill, at 1942 North Valencia Avenue in Brea.
Can I mix landscaping debris with remodeling waste or household junk?
It depends on the landfill — each one decides what materials they'll accept. When you order, we ask what you're tossing to make sure you get the right dumpster for the job. Plus, we can plan ahead for disposal by selecting a landfill that'll accept your waste.
What happens if I toss a prohibited item?
We may not be able to pick up the dumpster until the prohibited item is removed, which will result in a failed trip fee. If we do pick up the bin, the landfill will discover the items while sorting your trash and charge a contamination fee, which we'll forward to you as a separate invoice.
How do I load my dumpster?
We recommend loading heavy items through the swinging door first, then tossing light debris over the sides. This helps ensure items won't shift while we're driving.
To avoid a pickup delay, please make sure there is no waste hanging over the sides or stacked above the top of the dumpster.
