Where do you take my dumpster’s trash?
We take the majority of Newport Beach's trash to the CR Transfer and Material Recovery Facility, located at 11232 Knott Avenue, and Madison Public Disposal Facility, 1035 East 6th Street.
Is the street or driveway better for my dumpster?
We recommend driveway placement for our dumpsters. This way, you don't need to obtain a permit for obstructing a public right-of-way, like the street or sidewalk.
If you can't keep the bin on your property, visit the city's website to apply for a Temporary Street Use Permit.
Are there any items I can’t toss in my dumpster?
Toxic, flammable and hazardous items can't be tossed in our dumpsters. Landfills won't accept these items due to environmental and health concerns.
