FAQs
Should I rent a dumpster for this project?
Renting a dumpster is a great option when you have a lot of debris to toss at once. Tell us about your project at the time of your order and we'll recommend a container size. When the bin arrives, load your debris and request pickup online or by phone.
Can I request an exact delivery date?
Yes, you can request a specific drop-off date, but our timeline depends on the containers we have available when you order. Please reach out a few days before your project's start date to ensure you can get the container when you need it.
Is it expensive to rent a dumpster?
We have a variety of dumpster sizes to fit any budget. At the time of your order, we'll provide a rate that bundles the costs of delivery, pickup, a rental period and a weight limit so you can budget efficiently knowing your final price before you order.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster in my driveway?
You do not need a permit to place a dumpster on private property. You only need a permit if you plan on blocking a street, sidewalk or alleyway. Visit the city of Savannah's website to find out more on how to apply for a Right-of-Way Permit.
Where do you take my trash?
We get rid of your trash by taking it to facilities like the Dean Forest Landfill, located at 1327 Dean Forest Road, and the Bacon Park Transfer Station, located at 6400 Skidaway Road.
Does the landfill charge me for prohibited items?
Yes, if you toss a flammable, toxic or hazardous you will be charged a contamination fee. Depending on your location, there may be additional restrictions or disposal fees for certain items. We'll be sure to go over the rules and guidelines for your dumpster rental when you reach out to set up your order.
How long can you rent a dumpster?
We usually give you 7 to 10 days with your dumpster rental. When you reach out, just let us know how long you'll need the container and we will work with you to set a timeline that makes sense for your project.
How do I know what my debris weighs?
We'll ask questions about what you're tossing to help gauge the weight of your debris. This helps us suggest the right bin size. If you are still uncertain about what you're tossing, you can use our weight calculators to get the best estimate.
