What do I need to know before reaching out to rent a dumpster?

How do I pick a spot for my dumpster?
We recommend choosing a spot that is both easily accessible and close to your project site. Just make sure the area is clear of debris, like overhead wires, cars or basketball hoops to ensure smooth drop-off.
Is the street or driveway better for my dumpster?
You can place a dumpster in your driveway or on a street. You will not need a permit to place the bin on your property but will need one if you put it in a public right-of-way. Reach out to the city of De Soto for more information about obtaining a permit.
Why don’t landfills accept prohibited items?
Prohibited materials that are considered toxic, flammable or otherwise hazardous. Landfills don't accept these items for safety and environmental concerns so you can't toss them in our dumpsters.
