Where do you take my trash?
Much of the trash disposed of in St. Clair County is taken to the Milam Recycling & Disposal Facility, located at 601 Madison Road in East St. Louis. Your trash is also taken to the Cottonwood Hills Recycling & Disposal Facility, 10400 Hillstown Road in Marissa.
How do I rent a dumpster for household debris?

What if I have a narrow driveway?

Can I throw away spray paint?
No, aerosol cans, like spray paint, are considered reactive waste and are prohibited in our dumpsters. Reactive wastes are unstable and can explode under regular pressure, normal temperatures or when exposed to water.
Who do I get a permit from if I need to put my dumpster in the street?
Reach out to Belleville's Engineering Department to apply for a permit. Keep in mind you will only need a permit to place your dumpster in a public area, like a street or sidewalk. You don't need a permit to put the bin on your property.
