Can I rent a dumpster myself?
Yes, getting a dumpster rental takes just a few minutes with our team. Reach out and share your project location and what you're tossing. We'll suggest a size and offer an available delivery date based on the containers in the area. Once the bin arrives, toss your waste and tell us when it's time for pickup.
How long can I keep my dumpster?
We usually give you 7 - 10 days with your dumpster, but we understand projects sometimes take longer than expected. However, if you need the dumpster longer than your initial rental period, you can hang onto it for a flat, daily rate. Just call us at 816-895-6505 and we'll be happy to accommodate.
Can my dumpster block the sidewalk?
Yes, a dumpster can block a walkway, like a sidewalk, with a right-of-way permit. To apply for a permit, get in touch with the City of Shawnee's Right-of-Way Program Manager. Just keep in mind you don't need a permit if you place the bin on your property.
Where do you take my dumpster’s trash?
We take the majority of trash in Shawnee to the Johnson County Landfill, located at 17955 Holiday Drive.
What happens if somebody else tosses debris in my dumpster?
If a prohibited item is tossed, you'll be charged a contamination fee regardless of who tossed the item. We recommend covering your dumpster with a tarp or sheet to discourage strangers from using your container, particularly if you live in a high-traffic area.
